Figure SkatingRec TeamGraduates of the Learn to Skate program that wish to figure skate 1-2 days per week with one day off-ice training. Skaters in this program may test but may not compete. AdultsFor adults that wish to improve their fitness level and their skating skills. We offer 1 hour of coaching instruction with a Skate Canada Professional coach in all the areas of skating. Competitions and tests are available. Future StarsA bonus for your progression from the Learn to Skate program. Skaters will take part in a group lesson in a fun, safe and friendly environment with a professional coach from our highly qualified team for private or semi-private lessons each week. A minimum of three days a week of skating and 3 days off-ice training will allow the skater to compete and to progress at a much faster rate. EliteWelcome to the next step... CONGRATULATIONS! You are now on your way to being the well skilled skater you have worked so hard to become. you must be willing to dedicate 4-5 days a week with our professional coaching team and attend off-ice training sessions (4 times weekly). The director will determine a plan of action and help set goals for each individual along with their parent(s) and determine whether the skater may apply for the Hamilton Sports Academy School. All members of the Future Stars and Elite programs MUST submit a copy of their school report cards to the director twice a year to remain in the program. Try outs are required for the figure skating program if you are planning on switching clubs and coaches. Our figure skaters work and compete as a TEAM...
